Most of my work involves some sort of fantasy element with the images coming from my imagination.
My pictures are a fantasy in that they are not any real place or of real events but usually involve painting a picture that I hope conveys a story, atmosphere and mood. I am inspired by many sorts of fantasy films, and Pre-Raphaelite style art and things I see in every day life.
I like to create detail in my paintings but I'm also inspired by many impressionist paintings.
I work with acrylics on canvas or board and a mix of real media and new digital media painting.
In other work I use photo-montage techniques to create photographic composite images.
