the love of all 'things' natural dominates in my jewellery ... and life...and this portfolio
Icons, angels and designs from Ely Cathedral
The designs in this portfolio have all come from a joint exhibiiton with bob Banks about Ely Cathedral
I run workshops throughout the year where I pass on my skills in order for you to make your own piece of leaf inspired jewellery. Mutually convenient dates are arranged with no more than three people in a group.
Art history inspired jewellery
I find inspiration in pre-raphaelite paintings, the jewellery seen in Tudor, Elizabethan & Dutch portraits
Wood and silver jewellery
Jewellery using found pieces of wood & pebbles from the Pyrenees and different coastlines.
July Open Studios
I work predominantly with silver but I sometimes 'gild' certain pieces with gold where I feel the addition of light is needed.
The pieces I make are highly influenced by the nature table.
I often work on joint projects/exhibitions with my husband Bob Banks. His jewel like pastel paintings compliment my small scale 'treasures'.
I take great pleasure in sharing my skills in workshops I run throughout the year (3 people maximum to ensure enough one to one tuition and help)
- ON FOOT: Short walk from centre, don't walk along Downham Road as this is the long way instead from EGREMONT STREET cross to UPHERDS LANE (this is an unmade up road but quicker) look for allotments on left & small alley way opposite on right to MERLIN DRIVE
- BY CAR A10 then off DOWNHAM ROAD almost opposite Ely College look for A FRAME pointing to MERLIN DRIVE
- Wheelchair access
