I have been working with Ana Lopez Ramirez, a researcher at Cambridge department of Physiology, Development and Neuroscience. Her research into Alzheimers uses DNA from zebra fish and includes looking at the cells under UV light. the fish cells can recycl and re-form to enable healthy fish. it is hoped that these charachteristics will be tranfserred in treatment of humans.
I have made work that reflects this, using recycled materials and structures, presented in fish tanks and using some materials that reflect UV light.
We have been awarded second prize in the competition and are taking part in Madrid Science week. A discussion session in Telefonica Tower will take place on Thursday 16th November and will be live streamed.
