INVITATION: COLLABORATIVE ART EXHIBITION  
 
Following on from the success of MichaelFest in September, a mini arts festival celebrating the renovation of the chancel at Michaelhouse, we are excited to announce a collaborative exhibition opportunity in this historic venue. The theme will be ‘Angels and Messengers’.  
As Christmas approaches, we are inviting artists to respond creatively to the theme of Angels and Messengers, to encourage all those visiting Michaelhouse to reflect on the angelic realm and lift their eyes to things above.  
The exhibition will run throughout December 2019 and therefore provides a wonderful opportunity for artists to show their work for sale during the Christmas shopping period.   HOW IT WILL WORK Each artist may submit between one and three items for consideration, on the understanding that we will try to accommodate as many pieces as possible within the space.  If your pieces are selected, the exhibition will be curated by the Michaelhouse team and a hanging plan will be provided. All works must be mounted or framed by the artist. 
Deadline for submissions is 5pm on Wednesday 13 November 2019. See guidance provided below. 
Artists will be notified of the outcome following the shortlisting process, and hanging of artwork will take place on Sunday 24th November and Monday 25th November. Please make sure you are available on at least one of these dates. Exhibition dismantling will take place on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd January 2020. 
Hanging costs for the successful artwork vary depending on the final size of the item (incl. frame):  • Large (A2 and larger) = £50 /piece • Medium (smaller than A2, but larger than A4) = £40 /piece • Small (A4 and smaller) = £30 /piece 
The exhibition will launch with an open evening on Tuesday 3rd December, 7-8pm, which you can invite your guests to.  SUBMISSION GUIDANCE

When completing the online submission form you will be asked to provide the following: • Your name, email address, phone number and address. • A brief description of each piece you are submitting including dimensions, materials, any specific hanging requirements and a photograph. The description will be used as part of the exhibition label to go alongside each successful piece.
