Exhibition Space for COS 2020
Last two weekends of July in the newly refurbished church hall at St John's Church Hills Road. There is lots of table space that would suit, ceramics, jewellery, textiles etc, painters would need to provide screens for hanging paintings. There is a small landscaped courtyared that might suit a sculpture artist. The hall, toilets and kitchen are newly refurbished and there is free parking for ten cars in the church car park and free parking on adjacent streets.
The church are keen to exhibit art in the center and have given us a good rate for a flat fee of £70 per artist which would cover both of the last two weekends of July payable directly to the church.
Usually I design and print a postcard to advertise the event as part of the local Coleridge artist trail which everyone participating chips in for, each artist gets 200 postcards and I think it was about £9 per artist last time, also I would like to have a banner to go on the hedge outside the church and propose we provide some refreshments so I think £100 per person inclusive of church fees advertising and refreshments for the two weekends would be enough and obviously if the advertising costs less it would be less.
The other thing to consider is if you want to do your own entry in the brochure or if we do a joint entry which would be cheaper.
If you would like to visit the venue just let me know a time that works for you and I can show you round.
So far jewllery, textile and abstract painter and watercolour artists are interested.
