Friday! What a great day to unwind, get ready for the weekend and embrace your inner creative self. The mosaic classes started on my kitchen table in 2005, but now take place in a small barn at Pinkneys Manor - a farm in Wimbish, Essex. Wimbish is a few miles outside Saffron Walden. The studio overlooks a lovely garden and duck pond, there is plenty of parking and places to eat nearby, after your class, if you so wish! Come along and join us for our regular Friday class - make something beautiful for your house or garden.

HOW TO BOOK - classes are booked by the week and advertised about one month ahead on my . There are lots of pictures of on my website. £26.50 for the morning. Classes book up quickly, so to avoid disappointment do not delay!

Sessions run most Fridays (9.30am - 1pm) as listed.

Everyone works at their own pace on their own projects, students can join the class at any stage of the term. The classes are relaxed, creative and friendly, open to any ability.

Materials are extra, approx £25 for an A4 mosaic, including base, adhesive and grout and approx £45 for A3, pay for this at the class, cash or cheque. All work must be grouted at home, I cannot do this at this studio, but please don’t worry, this is easy and advice and everything you need will be supplied.

For beginners it is best to book at least three classes to have a good chance of completing a project, have an open mind about finishing off your work at home, as it is not always practical to time projects to the exact hours you might attend. I will teach you cutting and laying your tiles, what to stick them onto and what to stick with. Some dexterity is required, cutting with nippers needs reasonable strength, but easily achievable by most people.

Being able to draw brilliantly is not a prerequisite but a lively imagination and an enjoyment and appreciation of colour and texture will definitely help. I have some books and samples to help you, but please bring along your reference. At this time the internet is not available at the studio, so do some research and print out anything you need. Don’t worry about drawing out your ideas in much detail, simple lines suffice.

IF YOU DON'T FINISH I will sell you enough tiles to take home and finish your mosaic. If you continue to work on new projects the suppliers you need are listed on my website - you will certainly need a pair of Leoponit nippers (I find are best).

I make hand made , great for personalising your work and unique to my classes!

I love sharing my ideas with others and helping you realise your projects.

I hope you will join our classes, come along and find your creative soul!

to enquire about anything at all.
