          The Boat Race

The Boat Race 2018 was won by Cambridge University Boat Club for both the men's and women's race as well as both the reserve races.

The Boat Race is an annual rowing race between Cambridge University Boat Club and Oxford University Boat Club. The course of the boat race is just over 4 miles long and covers a stretch of the River Thames between Putney and Mortlake in west London. Thousands of people turn out on the banks of the River Thames to watch the boat race each year, it is a great spectacle and many more watch it on television.

To experience, first hand, the power and grace of rowing eights go by when racing is wonderful and a source of inspiration for the this art work. It is a wall hung mosaic with relief sculpture rowers titled The Boat Race.

Congratualtions to all the teams of Cambridge University Boat Club.
