Small new paintings

Some of a series of small paintings made with inks on board, slightly more abstract than previous work, but still worked in a similar way, with layers applied and then washed off, until a satisfactory image surfaces.

Assorted new paintings

These new paintings are mixed media, though still primarily acrylic ink, on a variety of surfaces including watercolour paper, blotting paper and board.

July Open Studios

Semi abstract paintings, seascapes and landscapes, built up in layers of ink on watercolour paper to produce subtle shades and depths of colour.

I started as a painter, switched mainly to ceramics for many years, then after a degree in sculpture in West Wales, returned to painting and photography. The Pembrokeshire Coast  is a major source of inspiration for me.
