All Morven Dalton Jewellery is designed and made by me in my studio in Little Shelford. I originally graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a degree in drawing and painting, but it was my love of jewellery and design that led me to complete diplomas in jewellery manufacture at Holts Academy in London's famous Hatton Garden. Working mainly in sterling silver with accents of gold and semi-precious stones, my inspiration lies in the patterns, forms and textures found in my garden, walks in the countryside, textiles and the detail in the world around me. Over the last year I have also been turning some of my attention back to drawing and painting. With a mixture of abstract and landscape subject matter I use a combination of acrylic paint, resin, oil pastel and other mixed media in my work. My paintings display my attraction to colour, pattern and texture and uses similar inspiration to that which underpins my jewellery.
