I am often inspried to paint landscapes by places we have visited in particular the North Norfolk Coast and The Isle of Mull where I am a regular visitor, see landscape portfolio.

I am fascinated by the spontaneity of watercolours and the variety of ways watercolour can be combined with inks and addatives. I particularly enjoy using varied techniques and layering paint in depicting heavily textures objects and surfaces such as those found in peeling paint and rusting objects.
