Frances Campbell
painting, fine-art printmaking
Bold, vibrant paintings and prints - current themes are around water and the life both above and below the waterline

I work on paper, usually starting by rolling or wiping printing ink directly onto the surface. Layers are built up, blended and then sometimes rubbed away, often over weeks or months to create rich textures and colours. Figures are cut from lino and then hand pressed onto the image and further marks are added with the edge of a roller.

I have recently had work for sale at The Lynne Strover gallery in Fen Ditton and Byard Art in Cambridge. I welcome visitors during Open Studios and also at other times by appointment
