July Open Studios
I graduated from the Sir John Cass College of Art and Design in London, specialising in jewellery and enamelling. My work is mainly in silver, incorporating colour with stones and enamel. Colour is an important element of my work and I am interested in the concept of enamel as painting with glass, blending colours to create subtle variations of tone. My work includes screen printing on to panels, layering colours and creating textured finishes. I am interested in balancing solid forms with space, designing jewellery which catches the viewer's attention. Recent work includes bowls, boxes spoons nad silverware. Achievements include a bursary from Goldsmith's Hall, Second Prize for Body of Work from Goldsmith's Hall 2007, the British Jewellers Enamelling Award 2007, and nomination for the British Jewellery Association Student of the Year Award in 2007. Exhibitions include New Designers 2007, the Graduate Show at Studio Fusion, London, Primavera, Cambridge Open Studios and the Bistro Gallery at the Arthur Rank Hospice.
