The Cambridge Show, Kettle's Yard, Cambridge
My work focuses on visually exploring hidden thoughts, feelings and memories and I get my inspiration from the natural element Water, music and literature. I believe that writing is an expression of personal inner reality and this is reflected in my visual work.
I live and work in Cambridge and I hold a Degree in Painting-Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. I have been exhibiting my work, since 2000, both in Portugal and in the UK. Recently, I have been selected to take part in The Cambridge Show, a group show representing the breadth of contemporary art practice in the area. In 2017, I was selected to represent my country in the JCE Biennale of Young European Art 2017-2019, a touring European exhibition. The Spare Room show at the New Hall Art Collection - Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge (2014) was my first solo exhibition in the UK and I undertook, in 2011, the Artists Access to Art Colleges Artistic Residency taking place at the Cambridge School of Art-Anglia Ruskin University.
