I studied Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, using printmaking as my core technique. This love of narrative is also expressed in my more personal work. My linocuts on paper use striking compositions and a limited palette to tell their stories.
I like to experiment with combining techniques; printing linocuts onto monoprints, collagraphs, or textiles.
Working with textiles lets me explore my love of pattern, texture and history in a different way. Traditional piecing and applique can sometimes be combined with more contemporary techniques and with printmaking.
